What is Payflex?
What is Payflex?
Payflex offers an interest-free payment plan in South Africa. When checking out with Payflex, you can choose to pay for your order using either:
- Four interest-free payments over six weeks, with 25% paid upfront; or
- Three interest-free payments over three paydays, with 33.33% paid upfront.
Your order will be shipped immediately, and you will not incur any additional fees or interest.
Payflex is not a credit provider. It offers interest-free and fee-free payment plans for lower-value purchases over six weeks or three paydays. This is commonly referred to as a Buy Now, Pay Later, or BNPL, service.

Your MINKI piece is made from certified 100% recycled stainless steel and finished with either an 18-carat gold PVD coating or genuine rhodium PVD coating.
What does PVD coating mean?
What does PVD coating mean?
PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition. It is a process used by manufacturers to coat metals such as stainless steel and titanium.
During the process, gold or rhodium is applied to the stainless steel at a high temperature. The gold or rhodium moves from a condensed vapour phase and forms a thin, solid layer of genuine 18-carat gold or genuine rhodium over the base metal.

We use PVD coating because it provides an ultra-long-lasting finish. It is approximately ten times thicker than conventional gold plating while remaining more affordable.

Rhodium is an extremely valuable metal that forms part of the platinum group of metals. It is predominantly used in the jewellery industry to plate white-gold jewellery and has a deep, lustrous platinum-like appearance.
Rhodium occurs naturally in the same ore as gold and silver, but in much smaller quantities. This makes it both rare and highly valuable.
Due to its cost, imitation rhodium is widely used to plate jewellery. The MINKI range exclusively uses genuine rhodium to meet the quality and aesthetic standards of our brand and customers.

Hypoallergenic means that your MINKI jewellery is designed to minimise the likelihood of skin irritation, which is a common concern associated with jewellery manufactured from certain alternative materials and metals.

Yes. Although PVD coating is naturally waterproof, our jewellery is also finished with an additional waterproof protective layer over the PVD coating.
This additional layer helps improve the longevity and quality of your jewellery. It has been tested using salt-spray testing to ensure a superior-quality finish.
This means you have the freedom to swim, bathe, shower, and exercise while wearing your MINKI jewellery without it tarnishing or discolouring.

Yes. Stainless steel is recognised for its inherent strength and durability. It is also resistant to scratching, helping your MINKI jewellery maintain its appearance for longer.

What does tarnish-free mean?
Stainless steel jewellery with PVD gold or rhodium coating is naturally tarnish-resistant. This helps your jewellery maintain its original appearance and condition when treated with care.
Is the factory that manufactures MINKI jewellery eco-friendly?

Yes. Green power has been installed at the factory through a photovoltaic solar-energy system.
The system can produce up to 60,000 kW per hour, which can cover the factory’s production requirements.
The factory manufactures stainless steel, silver, and brass jewellery and operates according to ISO, SMETA, and BSCI auditing standards, supporting ethical and safe working conditions.
How do I care for my MINKI jewellery?
How do I care for my MINKI jewellery?
For additional care, rinse your jewellery using lukewarm water and a small amount of dishwashing liquid. This will help remove chlorine, salt, or hard-water deposits that could build up on the surface and damage or dull the PVD coating over time.
After rinsing your jewellery, dry and polish it gently using a soft cloth.
When you are not wearing your MINKI jewellery, store it in your MINKI silk pouch or wrap it in tissue paper to preserve it properly.
